Mama Prisca had enjoyed good health both physically and mentally for most of her life and continued diligently with her business activities until October 2024, when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. The news deeply shook the entire family. However, from the very beginning of her journey, it became evident that the illness would never overcome her strength, faith, and determination.

She faced every day with remarkable courage, quiet dignity, and unwavering hope. Throughout her illness, Mama Prisca became a source of inspiration to all who surrounded her. Even in moments of pain and uncertainty, she never lost her beautiful smile, her kindness, or her deep love for her family and friends.

She taught us the true meaning of resilience — how to fight with grace, remain hopeful during difficult moments, and hold onto faith even when the road became challenging. Her courage gave strength to everyone around her.

In pursuit of healing, Mama Prisca sought medical attention from various hospitals and specialists across the country. She received treatment and care at Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital, Gendia Seventh-day Adventist Hospital, The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu, Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, Nakuru Cancer Centre, where she underwent her first procedures, Nakuru Annex Hospital, Jalaram Hospital, Nairobi West Hospital, Cottage Hospital, and finally Huruma Hospital, where she peacefully rested on 5th May 2026.

Despite the long and painful battle, Mama Prisca never allowed the disease to define her. She remained devoted to her family, steadfast in faith, and full of love until her final breath. Cancer may have weakened her body, but it never broke her spirit.

Her passing has left a great void in our hearts and in the lives of all who knew and loved her. While the world has lost a remarkable woman, heaven has gained a precious soul. We thank God for the gift of her life, her love, and the legacy she leaves behind.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may the name of the Lord forever be praised.
